Reroute a package

CS Agents

Reroutes: to be used sparingly

Rerouting to warehouse

Rerouting orders to the warehouse should be done rarely for several reasons: it increases the workload for agents, incurs a cost of at least $15.00 USD, and consumes time for our distribution centers. It should not be used as an alternative to cancelling or returning an order, especially since our guidelines clearly state that changes cannot be made once an order is placed. Furthermore, it may condition customers to request reroutes for future orders.

Rerouting to a new address

Rerouting to a new address should only be considered if a customer absolutely can’t retrieve their package at the original shipping address.

Note:

Please add order comments in Admin anytime a reroute is actioned. These order comments should happen whether or not a refund or replacement occurred.

Rerouting shipments in UPS

We can typically reroute orders through UPS, unless the order is UPS Ground, Mail Innovations, or SurePost — in these cases, we cannot change the delivery address.

Rerouting shipments in FedEx

Orders shipped through FedEx can typically be rerouted, depending on where the package is at along its journey

Reroutes can be quite costly, and should only be done if a customer cannot retrieve their package at the original shipping address. Rerouting an order should not be used as an alternative to cancelling or returning an order.

  2. Select Change My Delivery – this will vary based on the version of the UPS site you’re viewing. If this option is not available, double check that you’re Signed In to UPS and that your location is set to United States. If there is still no option, you can’t make any changes.

Out for Delivery can be a coin toss. The sooner the intercept the better – allowing more of a heads up to the driver. In transit is always the best bet.
